Apply for the CAPM® or PMP® Exam

The application process can take a few weeks, so we recommend getting started as soon as possible. Keep your application process on track using our CAPM or PMP Preparation Checklists at the bottom of this page.

Where do I apply?

You can submit your application to the Project Management Institute (PMI) website - www.pmi.org. Your information will be saved, so don't worry about trying to complete it all at once.

I've applied to PMI, so what happens next?

Once your application has been submitted, it will take a few business days before you receive an initial acceptance. At this point, you will also receive information on how to pay PMI for the exam.

We recommend that you pay for your exam right away. Upon receipt of payment, PMI will review your application again for a final approval. During this time, applications can be randomly audited, so be prepared to provide your proof of work experience and/or education hours.

Upon final approval of your application you will receive information about scheduling your exam. The exams are administered at Prometric test centers located around the world. You can find test centers on their website - www.prometric.com.

When should I schedule my exam?

Our boot camps are designed to be a cram session for your short-term memory. The effectiveness of boot camp fades as more time elapses between the end of class and your exam date. We recommend testing to take place on the Friday of boot camp week. This means you should start your application at least a few weeks prior to class.
