Project Manager Consultant

OPPORTUNITY:
We need an advanced business or technology student for a full-time position. Reporting to a senior project manager, you will be responsible for managing project work plans, assisting project managers, managing project documentation and coordinating project workshops. Work will be based in the company's Chicago office and at client sites.
Responsibilities:
- Work with Microsoft Project to manage project schedules
- Gather project performance data from teams and synthesize into meaningful reports.
- Provide day-to-day assistance to experienced project managers client projects
- Work closely with the project team, maintain the documentation and deliverables of the project
- Work closely with project personnel to arrange and coordinate project workshops
SUCCESS FACTORS:
Pervious experiences with MS Project and MS Excel. Ability to create macros and programs to manipulate and move data between applications. Be self-motivated. proactive, outgoing, responsive, detail-oriented with a professional, clear and engaging communication style. PMP or CAPM certification a big plus but not a pre-requisite.
Business Systems Analyst -- Life Sciences

OPPORTUNITY:
As a Business Systems Analyst, you will act as a liaison between various business units, Project Managers, and the technical implementation team. You will be responsible for the analysis, design, and activity for software application projects. You will define the business opportunity, elicit requirements and outline possible impacts, for each initiative. Your ability to interpret and develop processes combined with your presentation and technical skills will ensure profitable applicaiton solutions for our clients!
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Creatively structure application solutions from vision, scope, design, development, procurement, implementation, deployment, and project exit.
- Document business rules, functional requirements, and business processes.
- Professionally interact face-to-face with clients.
- Develop new solutions for process improvements and modifications.
- Drive projects to completion with your diligent attention to detail and ability to interface effectively with various disciplines.
- Identify new business opportunities through a proactive business development mentatility.
- Coordinate and facilitate workshops.
- Plan user acceptance testing and training.
SUCCESS FACTORS:
- Bachelor's degree in business, engineering or related field. Liberal arts majors with the right background should apply as well. Advanced degrees are a plus!
- At least 5 years experience as a Business Systems Analyst working on large-scale projects.
- Prior pharmaceutical or medical device industry experience is required.
- Experience with systems development, management processes, and integration between platforms.
- Knowledge of systems analysis and design, construction and testing technology selection and configuration, and systems support and operations.
- Outstanding ability to identify process improvement opportunities and create solutions.
- IIBA Certification is a plus!
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Willing to travel as needed, yet we are heavily Chicago based.
- Ability to function well in a high impact position within a fast-paced, deadline driven environment.
