Read about a recent case study involving a leading medical device company:
The Problem
A leading medical device company struggled to deliver new products on time. Their products were innovative and saved lives, but were delivered to the market later than planned and significantly over budget. They needed a way to predict the delivery of new products in their pipeline and fulfill project stakeholders' expectations.
The Solution
To gain real improvement in project schedule and budget attainment, we needed to find the root cause, not just treat the symptoms. We began with an in-depth current state assessment of project management processes and competency as well as a 360-degree stakeholder analysis for the project management organization to find out what was happening beneath the surface of the projects.
Based on the organizational assessment, Praxis developed a customized, prescriptive plan to exploit the existing strengths of the organization and eliminate the gaps in competency through a multi-level plan combining new processes, tools, software, structure, accountability and support mechanisms to create the ideal environment to promote project team growth and performance improvement. A robust change management initiative helped the organization smooth the transistion to a new way of planning and executing projects to reduce stress on the project teams and fast-track program results.

The Results
As a result the changes PMGrow® has made in the organization, the research and development teams now report a 70% improvement in the on-time, on-budget delivery of projects.
