Praxis' Course Development Process (CDP) provides a consistent framework for planning, developing and usability testing training courses. By utilizing this process, an organization gains a repeatable process and framework for ensuring the delivery of a quality training program.
Definition and Design
The Definition and Design process guides the project team in gathering important information and the selecting the appropriate approach for the course and development plan. By the end of this process, the course development team should have a complete and detailed plan for developing the course.

Development
The Development process guides the team through the actual creation of the required course and associated materials. Communication with key client stakeholders is essential during the development process. Specific checkpoints should be built into the development timeline.

Usability Testing
The course instructor reviews the course content in regards to his/her preparation requirements. The course administrator and/or instructor are responsible for identifying the usability test participants, executing any pre-course assessment tools, duplicating and distributing materials required and conducting the usability test.
