Remember the good old days when pirates were just Johnny Depp in costume channeling Keith Richards, credit was plentiful and pandemics…well, not many of us even knew the exact definition of the term “pandemic”. Alas, those care-free days are gone. Now all good project managers are updating risk registers to include these and other risks that we would never have anticipated even last year at this time.

By the time the election was over and we had a new and historic leadership team poised to take over the executive branch, I had had enough of the constant barrage of information about it.

We’ve all suffered through them; they’re boring, they’re ineffective and they waste our time.   Nonetheless, poorly run meetings are as much a part of our daily work as is the caffeine we consume each morning.
